"It is impossible to speak about Quintarelli without superlatives. The name itself stands for so much: the family, the wines, a style, a tradition, a way of doing things. A bottle of Quintarelli never disappoints!" - Kermit Lynch.
Join us at The Moon and Milton Wine Bar over two nights as we're joined by Andreas Puhar, the owner of wine importer Enoteca Sydney, who will be leading guests through the truly magical world of Quintarelli wines. Giuseppe Quintarelli was known as ‘the Master of the Veneto’, and the name behind one of the most renowned estates in Italy. Sadly, Giuseppe passed away early January, 2012. He leaves a legacy of remarkable wines and the philosophy behind them to his eldest daughter to carry on the tradition of this great estate. With easily recognisable traditional hand scripted labels, these offer the first glimpse into the heart and soul of one of the world’s most faithful artisan winemakers. He was an ultimate believer in letting nature do it's thing, and in order for wines to reach their ultimate potential, selected vini spend seven to ten years in barrel. These wines were only released from Guiseppe's care when he deemed them to be ready, often many years after his fellow Veneto producers. We'll be pouring some remarkable wines across both nights, including, but not limited to: 2013 Quintarelli Primofiore 2009 Quintarelli Valpolicella Classico Superiore 2009 Quintarelli Rosso Ca’ del Merlo 2008 Quintarelli Rosso del Bepi It's hard to communicate how honoured we are to be able to share these wines with our guests at The Moon and Milton. It's rare to get to taste wines of this calibre, glass after glass. A special night awaits the lucky few who secure tickets. |
