Join us for the screening of Ugly Duckling at Harbord.

This story follows Australian free surfer Torren Martyn and shaper Simon Jones as they collaborate on creating their latest surfboard model, "Calypte," named after the sailboat from their year-long Indonesian adventure. The initial prototype, “The Ugly Duckling" sparked a new chapter in Torren's surfing journey. Working together to develop their new model, Torren and Simon let their decade-long friendship guide them forward.

Torren Martyn and Simon Jones will be dropping in to discuss the film and answer questions about the design process.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to SurfAid to help with their work to improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of remote communities in Indonesia.
