Pilbara Beef & Beer Festival 2021
Meat lovers from far and wide will descend on Cattrall Park in Karratha on Saturday May 8 and Port Hedland’s Civic Gardens on Saturday May 15 to sink their teeth into everything the festival has to offer.

Each day will kick off with an all-ages family session from 12-3pm complete with a kids silent disco, giant yard games, a bucking bull and live acoustic performances, before the festival vibes are cranked up for the 18+ session from 5-11pm. Revellers will be able to eat, drink and then dance the night away to the sounds of live bands and DJ including the ever famous Silent Disco

One of the longest custom-built trailer smokers in Australia will depart the big smoke and head for WA’s north-west this May to take part in the inaugural Pilbara Beef and Beer Festival.

The star attraction will be the 8.5m long trailer smoker constructed by Perth-based family-owned business Up In Smoke Catering.

The trailer features a 5.5m long fire box and smoker chamber with a diameter of 1.5m, also weighing 3.3 tonnes which makes it the longest and largest in the country.

Every inch of smoker space will be used to cook melt in your mouth beef ribs, out-of-this-world beef brisket, as well as sausages and pork and lamb dishes.

Aspiring pit masters who want to learn how to make delicious barbecue dishes at home can take part in a master pit class for $99.

Since we all know there’s no better pairing than beef and beer, there will be more than 20 ice-cold brews available on tap thanks to a range of breweries including Gage Roads, Feral, Great Northern, Swan, Balter, Cheeky Monkey, Nail, Rock Ridge, Stone & Wood, North West Brewing Co and more. A selection of local wineries, cideries and distilleries will also be joining the epic festival line up to take care of the non-beer drinkers!

Smoking Masterclass

Join Con from Up in Smoke as he takes you through the process of smoking the best array of meats in Australia’s BIGGEST Trailer Smoker. The masterclass will take you on a journey from the very start of the process, including which wood to use, how to get you temperature right all the way through to wrapping, finishing & serving. The class will run from 11am – 3pm with the bar opening at midday.
