Join us for a night of sipping drams and laid back learning of the intricacies of distilling Whiskey.

Presented by SWR in collaboration with Brown Forman and Woodford Bourbon.

Presented online in an interactive way with ingredients and equipment delivered to your door.

Get Face to face or should we say screen to screen with experts in whiskey and industry superstars.

Put the kids to bed and enjoy a couple of drams of delicious whiskey.

Hosted by resident whiskey lovers Rion and Jonathan alongside special guest Linus Schaxmann from Brown Forman.

With over 25 years experience in international bars, the boy from Birmingham, Linus Schaxmann, is now recognized as a leading influencer in the Australian bar scene

Linus cut his teeth in the UK cocktail bar scene before moving to Monte Carlo, spending a couple years bartending to the rich and famous before moving to London to work for TGI Fridays, becoming a master bartender and opening new venues both locally and internationally for the group. 

After moving to Australia with TGI Fridays Linus left the fold to run, develop and open cocktails bars, winning several notable cocktail competitions and gaining a reputation as one of the most innovative bartenders going around, trying new ideas and techniques and really pushing the envelope in cocktail creation 

Linus joined Brown-Forman 13 years ago and loves sharing his wealth of knowledge about their brands and cocktail making.

 

This Weeks Whiskeys and Echo Backs:

  •  Woodford Reserve 30ml Served with Dried Apricots and Apples

  • Woodford Rye 30ml Served with Parmesan Cheese and Dried Pear

  • Woodford Double Oak 30ml Served With Hazelnuts and Dark Chocolate

 

Echo Backs provided are to be consumed alongside each Whiskey to give you the best experience possible. You will also be provided with a whiskey sipping glass and a recipe for Woodford quince paste to reuse the mason jars which store the Whiskey.

 

 
HOW THE NIGHT WILL PLAY OUT

  • 7:15PM Join Zoom Meeting

  • 7:30PM Greeted by representative at BOHO (talk about business and what we are striving to achieve during the Pandemic and for the future as a sustainable business)

  • 7:45PM Greeted by BF representative, Back story on Whiskey and brief summary of what makes whiskey, whiskey and key differences.

  • 8:00PM - 8:30PM Work through whiskeys and accompanying edibles

  • 8:30PM - FIN  Questions and Feedback.

 

Customers will also be provided with a unique discount code to use on www.southwharfrestaurants.com.au/ online bottleshop to be able to purchase Whiskeys tasted on the night at a discounted price.

 

Delivery to the following suburbs is included in the price, further suburbs will incur a $10 delivery fee.

Once purchased, this class cannot be refunded, redeemed for cash, or used as payment for products or services

Transferring classes to another date may be completed if the request is received at least 14 days before your scheduled class.

Transfer requests will not be considered if it is less than 14  days before your scheduled class.

Transfers will only be considered if another identical course is listed and has places available.

If you are unable to attend a booked class, you will be given the opportunity to send someone else to
participate on your behalf (at no additional cost) transfer of name request must be received 24 hours before class.
