The landscape of work has changed and will continue to do so even more rapidly. We are already hiring for jobs that didn’t exist 10 years ago. Increasing demands for transparency, unparalleled societal change, political and economic uncertainty, technology and an ageing workforce will see that the future of work will be completely different from today.
As companies evolve and integrate more technology to meet the growing and ever-changing demands of their customers, one of their greatest assets can often go overlooked: their own employees. Taking a leading view to reassure the 70 per cent of Australians who are uncertain what future careers will look like, IKEA Australia leads a discussion on the importance of investing in people and creating careers with endless possibilities to meet the evolving needs of employees. Employees that want purpose and meaning from their work, and the benefits of companies fulfilling these needs to company culture and in turn, success. Hosted by the leaders behind Australia’s most-loved and successful global brands, including IKEA, hear insights on why pay and development are the least important factors of a rewarding career and how keeping employees happy in a ‘great place to work’ stretches beyond the office ping-pong table.
