A fun and interactive dinner with whisky and beer matching
Learn about the finer points of whisky and beer matching with food and vote for your favourite match. Plus the chance to try limited release products and hear some ripping yarns from industry heavy weights Chuck Hahn who is one of the most prominent figures in the Australian beer industry since the 1980s and Whisky Ambassador Jon Minihan. Ticket includes beer & whiskey tastings plus 5 courses of matched food items. ---------- Arrival will be at 7 pm with your welcome beer and mingle in the fire garden before being welcomed to the dinner table by our MC. Malcolm Williams will be nearby slaving over the hot coals preparing the 5 course menu inspired by the flavours of Whisky and James Squire beer complimented by his experience in worldly cuisine. This year Malcolm is experimenting with the flavours of India this year with the following menu: Redbreast 12yo and coriander cured Ocean Trout “Pan Puri” with chickpea and cucumber and thetcha Matched to The Swindler Tropical Pale Ale &Redbreast 12 Year Old Tandori chicken Bao buns with spring onions and coriander Matched to 150 Lashes Pale Ale & Longmorn Distillers Edition “Vada Pav’” with potatoes, curry leaves, tamarind and coconut chutney Matched to Hop Thief No. 9 American Pale Ale &Redbreast Lustau Edition Onion and Cauliflower “Bhaji” with brinjal pickle Matched to the Chancer Golden Ale Glenlivet 15 Year Old Pulled “Rogan Josh” Lamb, buttered roti and saffron raita Matched to the Jack of Spades Porter & Aberlour A'bunadh Jon and Chuck will spend some time throughout the event letting you know why they chose the matches and some history on craft beer and single malt whisky in Australia and the world.
