Burlesque Essentials: Term 11
Are you looking for a fun and flirty class to entice and excite your inner seductress each week? Do you want to learn vintage-flavoured, sophisticated burlesque reminiscent of the ‘Golden Era’ ? This burlesque class is for students of all ages who are interested in introductory burlesque skills and a weekly dose of the Art of Tease. Over 6 weeks you will learn some fabulous and glamorous burlesque dance moves such as The Shimmy, The Bump n Grind, The Wiggle, The Burlesque Walk and so on. We will even teach you how to flirt with a feather boa, peel some gloves, and integrate your own burlesque character into a small routine. Instructor Dolores Daiquiri, who has over 14 years experience as a burlesque performer, producer, mentor and teacher, will conduct this class. She is a valuable resource of information and believes that ALL woman should be able to put a little ‘tease’ into their lives. Dolores is Co-director of The Australian Burlesque School and The Australian Burlesque Festival. Producer of Salon Boudoir. No dance or burlesque experience necessary. Beginners welcome! When: Monday 20 April to 25 May 2015 Where: Maison Burlesque, Level 1, 54-56 Bridge Road, Richmond VIC Time 7.00 – 8.00pm What to wear: Something comfortable to dance in. Shoes to move easily in. Props provided. Bring some water and a towel. NB: Please arrive 10 minutes before class so we can start on time. 6 Week Pass: $120 4 Week Pass: $80 Casual Class: $25 All bookings attract an online booking fee NB: The 4 Week Pass is only valid from the first day of class 20 April until 11 May. If you want to attend the last 2 sessions please pay the casual rate in class. Terms and Conditions By entering the class, students agree that the Australian Burlesque School is in no way responsible for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst students are at or near the venue / studio. Students are responsible for ensuring that they are physically and medically fit for the course that they are enrolling or enrolled in. During the class students must take care at all times for their own personal safety and inform the teacher of any physical limitations they may have. Should students have a pre-existing medical condition or are in doubt as to their suitability for the course, we recommend they advise the Principals immediately. Cancellation / Refund Policy The Australian Burlesque School cannot be held responsible for any lateness, incomplete attendance rate or complete failure to finish the course and will not refund for any of the aforementioned. The Australian Burlesque School is not required to provide a refund if students change their mind or are unable to attend the course due to changes in personal circumstances, work commitments or other reasons beyond the School’s control. We are not required to refund due to personal opinion or subjectivity about the content of the course or teaching methods applied during the course. The Australian Burlesque School has the right to change the times and dates of any class. We require a minimum number of students for courses to proceed and have the right to cancel any course if this minimum has not been met. We shall communicate any changes to those students who have booked into classes/courses where a schedule change/cancellation has occurred. |
